Plug the iron into an electrical socket or with a cordless iron, pre-charge the iron before use. For dry ironing, move the system dial to the "Minimum" setting and the temperature dial to the setting required for your fabric type. Place the iron on the heel rest, wait for it to pre-heat until the indicator light turn "ON" indicating that the plate or "soleplate" of the iron has reached the correct temperature, and then begin ironing. For the Travel Iron, select the "Low," "Medium," or "High" temperature setting and wait for the indicator light to turn "OFF." Skip this step for steam ironing.

Set the iron on the heel rest and fill the water tank to the fill line using a measuring cup. Plug the iron into an electric socket and turn the steam system dial to the steam dispersal amount needed. Select a fabric type by turning the temperature dial to the "WOOL," "COTTON" or "LINEN" setting. Place the iron on the heel rest, and when the indicator light turns ON, begin ironing. When using the Travel Iron as a steam iron, turn the temperature dial to "MAX," wait for the indicator light to turn OFF and begin ironing. If your iron has the "surge steam" feature, push the "steam jet button" (heavily wrinkled fabrics only).

Turn off your iron, unplug it (if applicable) and allow it to cool. Once cooled, pour out any remaining water, if applicable, through the water tank hole and steam vents. Return the iron to the heel rest and air-dry. If some of the water doesn't evaporate, turn on the iron following the instructions for dry ironing, turn the temperature dial to a low setting and allow the iron to pre-heat. Once the iron has pre-heated, turn the iron off and cool.

Store a dry and cool iron by wrapping the cord, if applicable, over or under the handle around the iron. If you're using the Travel Iron, rotate the handle clockwise before wrapping the cord.
